Flora-Bama's Super Chili Bowl Cook-Off Raises $15,000 for American Cancer Society
This may have been the tastiest year yet!

The 57-year-old iconic Gulf side roadhouse, at the Alabama-Florida state line has hosted this fundraiser for 28 years, raising over $100,000 in total. This year, 20+ teams and over 400 taste testers gathered Saturday, February 12th at the world-famous Flora-Bama to sample chili, have some libations, dance the day away and raise $15,000 for the American Cancer Society. Prizes for First through Third place, People’s Choice and Best Decorated Booth were awarded to the following:
1st Place - Guys Who Like Chili
2nd Place - Groundhog Smokes
3rd Place- Louisiana Boys
People's Choice - Swine Wine and Patsy Cline
Best Decorated Booth - Cluck Cluck Food Truck
Flora-Bama proudly supports the American Cancer Society, a “nationwide community based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.”
This annual tradition will continue so, mark your calendars for 2023. Always hosted the Saturday before Super Bowl, next year the chili will be stewing on Saturday, February 11th.
